Launching of One Million Coin Waqf for the Construction of Islamic Boarding Schools and Groundbreaking for the Mahyajatul Qurra PonPes Development

The launching of One Million Waqf Coins was held simultaneously with the laying of the first stone of the Mahyajatul Qurra Islamic boarding school. This activity was carried out on Sunday, March 14, 2021. The inauguration was carried out by the Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.

Head of the Regional Office of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Region XI Makassar, Keimas Erwan Husainy, together with the Representative Unit (URO) 8 Laznas Bangun Sejahtera Mitra Umat (BSMU) attended the launch of the One Million Waqaf Coin movement which was linked with the laying of the first stone for the construction of the Mahyajatul Qurra Islamic Boarding School, in Takalar District, South Sulawesi.

One Million Waqf Coins is a collaboration with the Ministry of Religion, so that the activity was also attended by the Head of the Director General of Islamic Religious Education, Prof. Ali Ramdhani, who was accompanied by the Head of the Khaeroni RI Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, along with the Regent of Takalar, Syamsari Kitta.

Laznas BSMU fully supports the pesantren-based education program as well as the public waqaf program which aims to build collaboration and benefit.

The Acting Governor of South Sulawesi expressed his hope, “Hopefully through this pesantren, South Sulawesi can give birth to a better and more Islamic generation. Because our investment capital is HR (Human Resources) “, he said.
